Today, we are launching two exciting new features on Hostari.com and announcing some changes for existing Hostari subscribers.
Virtual Private Servers are now available on Hostari
Virtual Private Servers, or VPSes for short, are barebones servers where you can set up websites (like a personal or community website), forums, blogging platforms (like WordPress and Drupal), and even full-blown web applications. VPSes serve a variety of different use-cases and typically involve a lot of manual set-up, so we only recommend this new service to those who are either comfortable working with servers or are open to exploring or learning more about how to host their own apps or services on the Internet.
Our new fleet of VPSes run on the same top-tier hardware that our game servers run on. Unlike other VPS providers, we commit to never overprovisioning our machines and to provide clear, transparent, and competitive pricing. Hostari’s support team is also available to help you out every step of the way.
A new custom control panel for VPSes
Alongside the launch of our new fleet of VPSes, we’re also launching V2 of the Hostari Server Control Panel. Hostari users who have previously hosted their Valheim servers with us through ValheimServerHosting will be thrilled to learn that we’ve iterated and improved upon the first server control panel that our team released way back in 2021.
V2 of the Hostari Server Control Panel focuses on providing a sleek, simple-to-use interface for those who are new to server hosting while enabling more advanced users to quickly do common server management tasks without having to SSH into their server. For the initial launch, we will only support the new VPS fleet. Eventually, we will also support the creation and management of Game Servers through this control panel.
Existing Hostari customers can view the new server control panel and purchase their first Hostari VPS by going to Hostari.com.
The Hostari V2 update is one of many exciting updates coming to Hostari. Our team won’t be stopping with our new VPS offers. We have some more exciting features that we can’t quite talk about yet coming to Hostari.com some time next year. For now, we hope that you’ll have a pleasant experience as Hostari goes through this transition. Changes to your Hostari experience
For existing Hostari customers:
- Your Hostari account and existing game server subscriptions are safe and sound. Your account dashboard and game server control panel remains the same. To access your game servers, you can go to classic-app.hostari.com. You will be asked for your existing Hostari account credentials, and there will be no further action required on your part.
- The classic experience of our website will still be accessible while we transition everybody to the new experience. If you would like to see the list of games (and other services) that Hostari supports, they can be found in the newly re-designed Hostari website.
- There may be some technical glitches that occur during this transition period. If you encounter any errors or issues regarding your Hostari account or existing game server subscriptions, please reach out to Hostari’s support team through the website chat located on the bottom corners of the website, or our official support email [email protected]. We’ll gladly resolve any issues that you may have that are caused by the new updates to our platform.
