New Armor Updates in Valheim Mistlands
The Valheim Mistlands update has brought a plethora of new armor and tools for players to craft and use. The Carapace Armor is the strongest armor in the game, offering the highest defense value. It is a tier above Padded Armor and has the same movement penalties.
The Black Forge
To craft this armor, players will need to unlock the recipe for the Black Forge, which requires Black Marble, Yggdrasil Wood, and Black Core.
The Mistlands update also introduces the Eitr Armor Set, which is not as strong as the Carapace Armor but increases Eitr regeneration. The Feather Cape grants the Feather Fall status effect, disabling fall damage. At the same time, the Carapace Shield (large) and the carapace Buckler (small) are two new shields that offer better protection against the creatures within the Mistlands.
To make the most of the Mistlands weapons and armor, players must gather resources like "Soft Tissues" from Giant Skulls, Carapace from Seekers & Seeker Soldiers, and Scale Hides from Hares within the Mistlands biome.
The Galdr Table
The Galdr Table is used to craft the Eitr Armor set & magical weapons, such as the Staff of Protection & the Dead Raiser, which is used to wield blood magic. Finally, the Wisplight tool clears the fog surrounding your character, and the Ballista may be used to defend your settlement.
Our conclusion
The Valheim Mistlands update has brought a variety of new armor and tools for players to craft and use. Players must gather resources from the Mistlands biomes to make the most of the Mistlands weapons and armor. Mistlands proves to be the most challenging update so far but it only gets us more excited about what's coming to the Ashlands, Deep North, & Ocean biome updates in the possible future.
